Dave Hayes plays an electric Mandola , Electric Tenor Guitar, plus a combination of three mandolins. Two solid bodied electric mandolins - one he bought from a music shop in Runcorn that has no maker on it, the other one a hand-built Gordon Smith that he helped to design, and also a Fender electric mandolin. Dave also plays 2 electric violins , a four string banjo and a variety of accoustic mandolins. For amplification, Dave has a Fender twin speaker amplifier, hand chosen because of its rich tone and gutsy volume. CLICK HERE TO SEE DAVE'S INSTRUMENTS Dave Smith plays a Fender Precision Bass. Dave (Daz) has a nice punchy style that perfectly compliments Devil's Fires' footstomping style Greg Slater plays a Fender Telecaster Guitar . Gregs fast fingers and raunchy leads have become one of the trademarks of Devil's Fire Derek Eccles has a Premier Kit that he has
been improving and adding to over the years. His kit must now be worth
a fortune. Depending on the size of the event or dances we play at depends on the size of PA amplification we bring out. We have kit that will accomodate the biggest halls or venues, but we tend to bring more than we need just in case. When you need a barn dance band for important events such as wedding receptions, corporate events etc, Devils Fire are an obvious choice.
